Easter Marches 2025 from April 17-21
We demand: Stop wars – peace and disarmament now!
The world is arming itself, thousands of people are dying in wars and the danger of nuclear war is still not averted. Now Germany is to be made fit for war. Deterrence through strength and military force is currently the only solution known to our rulers. But rearmament and militarization will not bring us any closer to peace.
Where are the peace policy alternatives? Where are diplomacy, cooperation and a willingness to engage in dialog?
Wir nehmen die neue Bundesregierung in die Pflicht und fordern von ihr:
- End wars! Strengthen diplomatic initiatives for peace in Ukraine, in Israel and Palestine, in Sudan, in the DR Congo and all over the world!
- Stand up for international law and cooperation! Verurteilen Sie Verstöße gegen das Völkerrecht und setzen Sie sich für deren Aufarbeitung ein. Völkerrecht muss für alle gleichermaßen gelten. Erteilen Sie nationalen Egoismen eine klare Absage.
- Entwickeln Sie einen Friedensplan für Europa! Wir brauchen eine neue Friedensordnung, die auf gemeinsamer Sicherheit basiert, der Ukraine Frieden garantiert und Russland langfristig miteinschließt.
- Show solidarity with the victims of war! Grant protection and asylum to people who are fleeing wars or want to escape them.
- Disarm! Social cuts or new debts for military armament at the expense of education, climate protection and urgently needed investments that improve our lives are unacceptable.
- Prevent the deployment of medium-range weapons! Instead, campaign for new international disarmament treaties.
- Setzen Sie sich für eine atomwaffenfreie Welt ein! Sorgen Sie für den Abzug der US-Atombomben aus Büchel und treten Sie dem UN-Atomwaffenverbotsvertrag bei. Erteilen Sie Überlegungen für EU-Atombomben eine klare Absage.
- Do not reintroduce compulsory military service! Junge Menschen sollten Frieden lernen, nicht den Krieg üben.
- Beschließen Sie ein restriktives Rüstungsexportkontrollgesetz! Arms exports must be massively reduced and subject to the strictest rules.
Together, we are setting an example for peace, disarmament and international understanding at Easter. “Never again war! Never again fascism!” is and remains our guiding principle. That is why we are taking to the streets. Join us and take part in one of the more than 100 Easter marches!
