Logo forumZFDThe lecture tour by Osama Illiwat and Rotem Levin is organized by forumZFD.

forumZFD supports people in violent conflicts on their path to peace. The organization was founded in 1996 by peace and human rights groups as a reaction to the Balkan wars. Since then, they have been committed to overcoming war and violence.

Today, they work with peace and conflict consultants in Germany and 12 other countries in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia. forumZFD is actively involved in civil peace policy through campaigns, lobbying and public relations work. The work is financed by public and private grants, donations and membership fees.

Combatants for Peace has been one of the NGO Forum Civil Peace Service’s most important partners for peace in the Middle East for more than 10 years. This unique initiative (CfP) brings together former combatants from Israel and Palestine to work together for peace. By sharing their experiences and organizing joint activities, they promote mutual understanding and respect.

forumZFD supports the important work of its partners by, among other things:

  • Offer training in non-violent communication to strengthen members’ skills as peace ambassadors.
  • Providing platforms for dialog and exchange that make it possible to build bridges between different communities.
  • Supporting public events and campaigns that raise awareness of peace work and reach a wider public.

“Thank you for giving Rotem & Osama and CfP a platform to tell their personal stories. It is important not only to talk about them, but also to listen with them, to the people who still believe in a different reality and are committed to it: A reality that includes peace, security, equal rights and sustainable development for all people in Israel and Palestine.”
